Road Oiling Overview

TAKE IT FROM THE EXPERTS – QUALITY WORKMANSHIP IS CRITICAL

Road oil is an asphalt product used in sealing and protecting roadways. It consists of a very thick fluid applied with a sprayer to the surface of the road. This material can be applied to the native soil or aggregates on rural or farm roads to help prevent mud or dust.

When paving new roads or making repairs, we often finish with a layer of the oil to protect the surface. The oil will create an insulating layer, as well as permeate the material, holding the road together. Additionally, the oil will help resist water, sand, and other materials known to damage roadway, further protecting our customers’ investments.
